Rising Star

Deckers Outdoor Corporation is the Producing Sponsor of Teen Star 2012 and has made it possible to have the Finale at the Granada Theatre on March 3.

The Teen Star program will begin locally Jan. 21 with a workshop to help train and prepare students for auditions. Cachuma Lake Eagle Cruise – offered Friday through Sunday 10 a.m. to noon, and additionally 2 to 4 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays. Time capsule

The City of Solvang invites local residents to bring in items symbolic to Solvang or local families that they would like to place in a time capsule.

This will be one of the final events for an entire year of Solvang’s Centennial Celebrations. The capsule will be buried in Centennial Plaza on Jan. 6, 2012.

Please keep items on a smaller scale to allow as many people as possible to participate. Bring items to the City Clerk, 1644 Oak St., from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday-Friday prior to Jan. 4; include name and contact information. Unused items will be returned to owners.
