Rising StarDeckers Outdoor Corporation is the Producing Sponsor of Teen Star 2012 and has made it possible to have the Finale at the Granada Theatre on March 3.
The Teen Star program will begin locally Jan. 21 with a workshop to help train and prepare students for auditions. Auditions will be held Feb. 2 at Righetti High School in Santa Maria and Feb. 4-5 in Santa Barbara. More information can be found on the Facebook/Teen Star Santa Barbara page or www.sbteenstar.com.

Time capsuleThe City of Solvang invites local residents to bring in items symbolic to Solvang or local families that they would like to place in a time capsule.
This will be one of the final events for an entire year of Solvang’s Centennial Celebrations. The capsule will be buried in Centennial Plaza on Jan. 6, 2012.
Please keep items on a smaller scale to allow as many people as possible to participate. Bring items to the City Clerk, 1644 Oak St., from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday-Friday prior to Jan. 4; include name and contact information. Unused items will be returned to owners.
