Saturday, May 9

• Royal Dinner, Wine & Art Auction • Montanaro’s Farm in Los Olivos • Wine tasting, a four course meal prepared by a guest chef, and a live wine and art auction. Wine tasting will begin at 5:30 p.m., followed by the dinner and auction at 7:00 p.m. The donation is $100.00 per person and reservations can be made by calling Bob Voorhis at 688-7244.

• Mother’s Day breakfast • Santa Ynez Valley Union High School • Omelettes, pancakes, sausage, ham, coffee and juice, for a donation of $5.00. Breakfast will be served from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon.

 

Saturday, May 16

Alisal River Course Golf Tourney • A four man scramble, registration will begin at 11:30 a.m., with a 12:30 p.m. shotgun start. Donation is $100.00 per person and includes the cart. For golf registration or sponsorship information call Mark Moniot at 688-5754 or Ken Hollister at 688-3596.

Solvang Parks and Recreation hosts dog obedience class. 9-10 a.m. Your dog (4 months or older) can learn to sit, stay, down, come, and heel. Proof of vaccinations, leash, collar, and something to clean up is required. Sunny Fields Park, $75. Participants must pre-register, 688-4877.

The Santa Ynez Valley Master Chorale, directed by composer/conductor Chris A. Bowman, and accompanied by a bluegrass band, will present three spring concerts: Friday, May 8, at 7:30 p.m., Saturday, May 9 at 7:30 p.m., and Sunday, May 10 at 3:00 pm. The concerts will be at the Church of the Crossroads in Buellton. Ride your horse to our concert and get in free!! Bel Canto by Candlelight” and Center Stage Opera Comes to St. Mark’s-in-the-Valley Episcopal Church in Los Olivos. 6:30 p.m. with a hors d’oeuvre reception featuring wine from local vintners and food prepared by Chef Mark Scher.
